Hammond, Professor Emerita of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, was born in 1904, earned a B.A. (1931) and an M.A. (1938) from New York University and an Ed.D. from Temple University (1954), and held various positions at Trenton State College from 1926 to 1967, starting as an instructor after graduating from the college.
